Sparkly, Shiny, Shimmery Day
It was fantastic to see so many students and staff sparkling and showing their shiny, shimmery outfits! What a wonderful community. Santa would be so proud of the school spirit and energy at St. John XXIII CES.

We were very excited to see some of our parents joined in on the fun and wore their Christmas hats when they dropped off their children. We really enjoyed when they came in to model their school spirit as well!
As part of our spirit building campagne, we are enjoying some theme days. Monday was our crazy Christmas hair or Christmas hat day! Many of our students couldn’t wait to model their unique and colourful styles. We had lots of fun!
On Tuesday, December 3rd, Monsigneur Vid came to St. John XXIII CES to help us celebrate our Advent Mass. The choir sang beautifully, the readers were wonderful and all our students joined in to make this a memorable mass. Thank you to all for bringing together such a great day!
Our Remembrance Celebration was held on Monday, November 11th. We began with a special announcement, special prayers, and poems. Each class brought a wreath to the front foyer. Then this was followed by two minute of silence. Teachers then had the students watch Terry Kelly’s video called, ‘Pittance of Time’ and deconstructed the meaning behind the video and the day itself. Thank you to all the generous families who donated money to our CSC for our students. They raised $8595. For every $25 donation a student brought in, their name was placed in the draw to win a 15inch chromebook. We are very excited to share that Dimitri won the Chromebook and was very happy.
