Arpad Szoke: Arpad is a Hungarian born graphic artist and animator. He is devout in his faith, and wants to contribute to the community, and lend a helping hand in any capacity to support educators. Arpad is a dedicated father of three boys.
Jaison L. John: A veteran of over a decade in Management Consulting, I enjoy working with people and ideas and am passionate about giving back to the community. That said, although new to this forum, I’ll be more than happy to use my skills/abilities to support the school and community in the best way possible. Plus, my children have been at St John 23 since we arrived in Canada and I’m a huge fan of the way things are run, so excited to be part of the change!
Dr. Binu S George graduated from Université de Lausanne – Suisse, in 2003 with a Doctoral degree in Neurosciences. She has worked for the Federal Government for nearly 15 years. Her most recent assignment was with the Covid Task Force. The family has been living in Unionville since 1989. She was an active member of the Achievement And Civic recognition Committee- the City of Markham and an Auxiliary member with the York Regional Police for several years. She is a Malankara Catholic with a vision to be a practicing Christian in all walks of life. She is a proud supporter of local and foreign mission endeavors, such as North Wind Ministries and Inca Link- Peru, and the Out of the Cold cooking program. She supports the United Way and is a member of several National Committees such as the Diversity Committee, Visible minorities and Indigenous Committee, Women’s Committee, and Mental Health Committee for the Federal Government. She is an inspirational leader in the workplace who leads by example. As a public servant, she provides excellent service to her many stakeholders by confirming consistent messaging and by working collaboratively in her daily work. Her daily living motto is taken from Colossians 3:17- ‘And whatever you do, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.’ She is mother to Caleb Samuel- Grade 2 and her ambition is to raise him to be a good human being, respectful of others, and striving to please God in all he does. She wishes to be a positive influence in the lives of others working towards bringing gender equality and appreciation of diversity. Binu would be an ideal choice who would impart wisdom and ideas towards initiatives that would provide an educational experience that our children deserve and need in today’s world.
Cornelie Chu is a parent of a grade 2 French Immersion student, is seeking to contribute fostering an environment that improves students success and school performance. Approachable, promoter of meaningful forum to seek inputs from school communities, transparent, and supportive attitude will be Cornelie’s focuses and core values to offer as Catholic School Council (SCS) at St. John XXIII CES. Cornelie possesses extensive knowledge and experience in financial and compliance industry, project management, business management, and organization change management and readiness which lead to results of efficient planning and execution, and effective leadership to influence decision making that will serve the best interests of all students. Through a long history of supporting local communities and volunteering effort with non-profit organizations, Cornelie will extend her enthusiasm to make a difference, and to connect school communities for collaborated outcomes. Cornelie is looking forward to develop partnerships with the School Board, the School and principal, and other CSC’s to build and address targeted priorities in this special year.
