Signing off….Goodbye to a Fantastic Community

It has been a privilege and honour to serve you as principal of St. John XXIII CES.  The children, the staff, and you the parents will remain in my hearts always as an amazing community of people.  The students’ surprise concert and goodbye presentation will always remain as a wonderful memory. A special thank you to the most amazing secretary Mrs. Marincola and fantastic ESL teacher, Mrs. Lahoud who lead the planning of the assembly, The beautiful songs, poems, cards, flowers, dances and thoughtful kind words were very touching and of course left me teary eyed!  Thank you to all the students and staff for your hard work in preparing this wonderful concert and to the parents who dropped in not only to see the concert, but also those who dropped in throughout the day to wish me well and share kind words of gratitude.  Thank you to all for the generous gifts, thoughtful cards, and continuous support of my leadership.  Know that I will never forget you.

I would like to thank the Catholic School Council for their continuous hard work and dedication to our students.  They are an amazing force working for the benefits of all our students.

I welcome the new principal, Mr. D’Agostini who is a great fit for this community.  I wish him and all of you a great year.

I would like to leave you with William Witherup’s Irish Blessing:

May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face; the rains fall soft upon your fields and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand

God bless you all.

Yours in Catholic Education,

Principal Ferri-Violante
